WebImage illustration
In the first Snow and Ice lesson, you:
  1. found out how to use x and y coordinates to identify a geographical location,
  2. identified different types of snow and ice cover by pixel value,
  3. used scaling and thresholding to measure area of snow cover and sea ice at different times of the year,
  4. investigated the change in snow cover and sea ice from one year to the next, and
  5. thought about how all that snow and sea ice fits into the water cycle.
In this lesson, we will be examining changes in the areas of snow and sea ice area over a 24-year-period during the month of August.
